Kriisa and Roots established their musical partnership in 2000 and have been gigging as Bullfrog Brown since 2003, appearing at some of the biggest international blues and guitar festivals in Northern and Eastern Europe, such as the Lakeside Blues Festival (2006) and the Savonsolmu Beach & Blues Party (2007) in Finland, Augustibluus (2003-2007) and Fiesta De La Guitarra (2006) in Estonia, Blues Nights (2005) in Lithuania, and the WRA InterContinental Resophonic Guitar Festival (2005) in the Czech Republic. Their 2006 trip to Britain included shows in London, Glasgow, Kingston, Hartlepool, and Stockton. In their native country, the band have opened for and - at the maestro's personal request - played with David "Honeyboy" Edwards, backed Zigaboo Modeliste's keyboard man Eddie Baytos on the road and on national television, and toured with Dave Arcari, Black River Bluesman, and Bottleneck John. In March 2007, Bullfrog Brown became the highest ranking blues band in UBL.com's Ultimate Band Competition, placing 6th in a 2-year race with thousands of international pop, rock, and hip-hop artists; in April, the band won First Prize at the Blindman's Blues Forum showcase. In 2006, a track from the band's "Uncooked" EP was featured as the only post-1971 and non-American recording in the History of Slide Guitar programme compiled by Radio Melibokus in Germany, and the EP itself nominated for the Deed of the Year award in the group's hometown of Tartu, Estonia. “The new voice and sound of the old blues.” -- John Vermilyea, Blues Underground Network “Huge stage presence and a superb band.” -- Dave Raven, BFBS Radio "Primal earthy blues." -- Paul Bufton, Blues Matters! “More real than the real thing.” -- René Malines, Virus de Blues “All of this punk rock blues experimentation in recent years has finally been perfected.” -- Eric Gebhardt, Blues In London

Story behind the song
This song is the kind of a song you write after staring into the sun for too long. It was originally written for "Mudhole Stories", but left off for having one chordal change too many. Our friend the beat-poet Hannes Varblane liked it, however, and so we ended up recording it anyway. Peter Piik on upright bass, Raul Terep on drums and triangle.
Lyrics
Twenty-four hours, thirty-one days Twenty-seven years are tryin’ to get away Sixty-seven suns with nine and ninety rays Thirteen little girls with thirteen different ways Eighty miles of hiway, thirty songs to play One long cold black night, and man I’m here to stay Forty shades of red, one more touch of blue One more verse of twelve-bar blues Tryin’ to get away, tryin’ a-start a-new Twenty different traps with nineteen different glues Every one is sticky, I only got one shoe All I wanna do is be alone with you Ninety-nine and one is when I’ll get to be free Honey don’t help you when you’re stung by a bee Billion dollar babies swimmin’ in a sea I’m on a boat, and I’m drinkin’ my tea One sack of coffee, one saucer full of cream A sugar full of sugar and a pocket full of meat All the colors of the ocean, all the moments of the time All the numbers on my paycheck, all the figures on my mind All the verses in the bible, all the horses on the line None of this can help me find a place to hide There’s a hundred million reasons, but she is just too fine There’s only one of me, and I’m done cryin’
