Story behind the song
And the wrath of the Lord burned until he loosed a great calamity upon the land. The season turned to one of war and desolation; entire nations were erased, and whole kingdoms were destroyed. So Adeodatus built for himself a sea faring vessel, a great ship to navigate the bottom of the deep. And when he had built it he fled his country and took his wife and escaped into the depths of the sea till he found for them a cave carved out of the bedrock. And there he made a place for them, concealed in dark water, to mingle with their tears.
