It's Pop. It's Rock. It's Punk. It's Groovy.
Every band likes to think their music defies categorizing, while at the same time usually realizing that to be unique is to invite commercial failure. The Oozing Grooves solves that dilemma by taking a samurai philosophy towards music: commercial failure is inevitable, so why not just enjoy the act of creation and write what you want? The resultant blend of new millennium pop punk and 80s synth-pop rock features thick vocal harmonies layered over simple bar chords in an arrangement several listeners -- including a couple of industry insiders -- have called a blend between Green Day and the Beach Boys.

Story behind the song
When the bedroom slipper flew across the room and bounced off my head, it jarred loose this song.
Lyrics
Before I met you I didn't know I was incompetent But now I do And it's thanks to you I used to wonder Why I could never feel self-confident Now I understand I'm the elephant man Thank God You've catalogued My every single flaw While I stare at you in total awe Because You're little Miss Perfect You're little Miss Right-As-Rain You're little Miss Know-It-All Miss Kick-to-the-Balls Miss Shot-to-the-Brain, yeah You're Little Miss Perfect And I'm such an imperfect guy So I'm thinking that Maybe this ain't gonna fly Before I met you I thought I ran my life quite decently But you've helped me see That was fantasy It makes me wonder How I survived before you rescued me Like a braindead fool Drowning in my drool Thank you! You hold me to A higher standard now Some day I'm gonna be like you somehow Because You're Little Miss Perfect You're Little Miss Good-As-They-Get You're Little Miss Can't Be Wrong Like the Spin Doctor's song They were playing when we met, yeah You're Little Miss Perfect And I've got such a checkered past So I'm wondering How long this is gonna last I'm tired of being told that Everything I do Isn't good enough for you How did such a princess Get a guy so dumb and lazy Man, it's got to drive you crazy Cuz you're little Miss Perfect You're little Miss Tried-and-True You're little Miss No Mistakes Miss Lucky Breaks Gee, it's great to be you, yeah You're Little Miss Perfect And I'm big Mr. Stupid Jerk So I'm certain there's No way this is gonna work
