The core members of the band that is Watson (Gary Pinkstaff, Bobby Rock and Watson Davis) first played together after a meeting at a high school talent show. They became fast friends, playing in several bands together and in various combinations until the early '80s. This CD, Psychics Are Standing By, brings them back together in 1999 and proves that once you've got chemistry, mathematics and biology really aren't so bad. The key to this CD is the songs; songs that combine message with wit. In this CD, Watson tries to merge extraordinary music with socially conscious lyrics in an attempt to answer the age old question: can great musicians write songs that don't suck?

Story behind the song
My wife pointed out that I have a tendency to hide my emotions during emotional times.
Lyrics
Hiding my heart In a pile of dirty clothes All covered up So nothing ever shows Wrapped in a tee shirt Between my tennis shoes The poor thing's been through a lot And it's a little bit confused Hiding my heart With my old bowling ball Stuffed in the closet At the end of the hall You can pound on the door Again and again I broke the key off in the lock So you can’t get in If you listen My heart’s begging to be free If I let go You'll get the best of me Hiding my heart In a cookie jar It’s still too soft When I need it to be hard Peek under the lid All you'll see are crumbs That's the way it's gonna to stay For quite a while to come If you listen My heart’s begging to be free If I let go You'll get the best of me Hiding my heart In a pile of dirty clothes All covered up So nothing ever shows Wrapped in a tee shirt Between my tennis shoes The poor thing's been through a lot And it's a little bit confused Hiding my heart…
