Story behind the song
I was moved by the stories coming in from the disaster survivors... including one who said the only warning they got was the "rattle of a teacup"
Lyrics
A little rattle of a teacup, a little shiver through the palms, Then the sea exploded like a thousand Atom Bombs, This Ribbon of Life that clings to the shore, In a moment was broken, it wasn?t there anymore, it wasn?t there anymore I look over the Bay Cast my eyes up and pray, For One more wave to come our way. A wave of compassion, A wave of peace, To wash all our pain away To wash all our pain away The cries captured in the wailing wind haunt me still, I?ll head for higher ground now -I know I never will take my grandfather?s fishing boat to sea again when the fish feed on the flesh of those the ocean has claimed CH CH A little rattle of a teacup, a little shiver through the palms...
