hip hop, we got alot of different styles, Interior Records
This is Dru-P, I recently dropped "Dedication" a follow up to "For the Fam." A CD done by Clay and I. I had alotta fun recording "Both albums." Right now I'm just doing tracks to get myself sharpened up, and hopefully I'll continue to improve. This website has pretty much every non- album song I've ever done. Unfortunately most of my non- album songs came out of me being bored, or were thrown together. So don't think my album material's gonna be this sloppy.. I'm also behind the Steppn' Up Mixtape series, which showcases other talent, behind my production.. Check out my website at www.dru-p.com

Lyrics
I don't give a fuck about bitches, dog I'm all about business./ Go Against my wishes, and I'll put you on the hitlist./ Wich is, the reason that I'm still alive./ I've always been a lucky cat, but now I'm on my ninth life./ The city is vice and I'm losing my grip./ Constantly questioning, 'how will I make it.'/ Everybody is jaded, everybody gets faded./ Another shorty died, another police statement./ I'm steadily growing hatred, for the men in blue./ And I'm never trusting what they intend to do./ I once knew... a girl by the name of Sonja./ She was really cool, never causing drama./ And when it came to looks, there weren't too many hotter./ The world was on my shoulders, and SHE was my spotter./ One day a cop stopped her, she was on her way home./ It was nighttime but still, bright outside./ An Alaskan Summertime, she hopped in his ride./ Only wanting a way to get to her house./ The cop suddenly ran his hands up her blouse./ She knew it wasn't right, she had to put up a fight./ Even if that fight, meant the end of her life./ The cop struck back, put a bullet in her head./ I keep on wishing, she woulda walked instead./ Of hopping in that ride.... Dam... My homie died./ Chorus: A ghetto love is the love that we live by./ Day by day I wonder why my shortie had to die./ I reminisce over my ghetto princess./ Everyday give it up for my shorty./ (2X) Verse 2: Now Sonja I really miss ya', I wish ya' was still here today./ I can remember watching you play./ Take it back to eigth grade./ We was chilling at the dance./ So Beautiful.... You had every guy in a trance./ It was your freshman year, I wasn't suppost to be there./ You drug me on the floor, I was in the bleachers./ And all the teachers, wanted me to leave./ You showed me love, just you and Kerilee./ That was my first memory, of talking to you./ And throughout the years, we remained cool./ I'd kick it with your crew, every year at state./ And even though we lost, you'd take away my pain./ That's why it's a shame that you left so early/ Throughout your life, you remained unearthly./ I'll admit it hurt me, everybody was blue./ And over time, all of that pain just grew./ But now that I think about it, "I was just blessed to know you" Miss you Sonja

I feel you brother. No one can replace that empty spot our friends/family left in our heart. I lost a brother in Nome also, uncles, cousins, aunts. I lost my best friend to suicide. This song is touching, healing, and encouraging to move forward in life. Respect brother. We will see them one day. Take care man.
