Story behind the song
We wanted to do a Christmas song, and so we thought about the season of goodwill, which for some reason is a very miserable time of year. Everyone pretends to be happy, and the weather is 'orrible. Chuck in some loud guitar and a catchy chorus, and there you are: "December". It might also be the first Christmas song about Seasonally Adjusted Depression. Oh, the jolliness....
