Bruce Bressack
family acoustic piano pop
Artist picture
Acoustic/Piano songs that capture the emotion and spirit that resonates within all of our families.
Bruce Bressack has been writing and recording music since the early 60's. The family has been a source for many of his compositions --- from the song Canada (written about his cousin who left the U.S. during the Vietnam War), to the song Family of Mine (written about broken relationships), his songs attempt to capture the emotion and spirit that resonates within all of our families (for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, until, well, you know the rest).

Lyrics
We hide, inside, our lonely pride, and forget the past, that haunts and taunts us. We live our lives, in closed and secret places, and shut the door on pain that burns us. When too much time has passed there's danger, When too few memories linger there's danger, There's danger in this Family of Mine, There's strangers in this Family of Mine, But there's still hope in this Family of Mine. Our family ties, were meant to bind us, To have, to hold, to guide, to remind us. Sometimes it feels, we learn the most from sorrow, Those nights awake, praying for tomorrow. When too much time has passed there's danger, When too few memories linger there's danger, There's danger in this Family of Mine, There's strangers in this Family of Mine, But there's still hope in this Family of Mine. There's danger in this Family of Mine, There's anger in this Family of Mine, But there's still hope in this Family of Mine
