I've been dabbling in songwriting for about 25 years, ever since I started playing in a band. In the past few years I've gotten a little more serious about it and I enjoy the the idea of creating something from my experiences. Whether personal or from an external source, I like to see my thoughts go from paper to a recorded product. I've been having a lot of fun trying to produce my own music. I'm not into performing my own music so much anymore, but I would like to see it get out there for others to hear.

Lyrics
Momma was killed the day I turned ten, The only time Daddy almost cried. Buried her near the old Cottonwood tree, He was crushed, I saw it in his eyes. Daddy taught me to fend for myself, How I could get by with these two hands. Said don’t depend on anyone else, Love and money, can break a good man. And, he said… Chorus: Real men don’t cry, They just hold it all inside. Tears show weakness, A man without a spine. Life is what you do, And, then you die. Real men don’t, real men don’t cry Felt so old when I was twenty-five, A second wife, a baby on the way. The truck broke down and rent was due, Held up the clerk at a Circle K. Well we both panicked and I shot him through, The judge gave me ten to fifteen years. Did my time like a real man would do, Learned emotion was nothing to fear. I heard Dad say… Repeat Chorus Bridge: Now I’m finally free of these gray walls In there a thousand tears I shed I loved you Daddy and I know that you meant well But you were wrong, so wrong when you said… Repeat Chorus
