I am the guitarist for the central Connecticut rock band Trilogy (www.Trilogy-info.com).
This is some of my original material.
Story behind the song
All things considered, we ain't doing so bad. The vocal tracks have not yet been added as these are a rough idea of the song's lyrics and I'm not a big fan of my vocal abilities.
Lyrics
All Things Considered
Verse1: And I feel your pain with all that I’m lacking
I’ve been brought to my knees
It’ll never be the same, so don’t look back and
There ain’t no guarantees
Bridge: There was a time I used to lie about it, but who was I kidding
And all the times I’d deny it, since then my skin has thickened
Chorus: All things considered, we ain’t doing so bad
Things could be better, I did the best with what I had
All things considered, we ain’t doing so bad
Things could be better, I did the best with what I had
Verse 2:You keep it all inside, and bury it deep
Until the point where you are ready to blow
Let me reach in and pull you out
Let’s get on with the show
Bridge: There was a time I used to lie about it, but who was I kidding
And all the times I’d deny it, since then my skin has thickened
Chorus: All things considered, we ain’t doing so bad
Things could be better, I did the best with what I had
All things considered, we ain’t doing so bad
Things could be better, I did the best with what I had
