Lyrics
She had the type of bright eyes that poets would rhyme about late at night when there was nothing else to do but to dote on the latest beauty they’ve seen or complain about life or speak on heartbreak or the tribulations love brings or the many things that come to one’s mind when intoxicated by life. Those eyes were memorized in the minds of the few people who had known her long enough to see her soul through them, because although they were that type of hazel that sometimes turn green, they reflected the world. But the world wasn’t always so happy. . . the world could never turn so grim. She had a heart full of love, so much that the people she wished would die, never knew her bad side. Like a junkie that dreamt of penthouses her wishes were mere fragmentations of a reality that could never be because a higher being always granted these things to others who always receive everything they need. All she needed was this. She walked through life like it was an empty cell, no evidence of living nor shreds of opened mail. With no hope, life is hell. So? She was pretty. So? She loved art. So? She loved writing. So? She was smart. But even with living life she was left with an empty heart. She always expected to find someone that would love her enough, play her when he got tired in a way that he wouldn’t get caught. Being faithful was one thing she learned men were not. Not to the pretty girl. Not to the smart girl. Not to the girl of their dreams. Everyday continued on miserably, with no hope. With no hope. With no hope. With no hope. With no hope her eyes spoke a story of sorrow that’s been told before, but that’s all she wanted so there was no hope for more. copyright 2004 kristina lopez
