Story behind the song
Thoughts on “bLANk CanVAs” Well, one million thoughts on this one [but i'll try & keep it short]. This is 1 of about 20 breakout songs for me personally as a writer/performer. Each of the 20 songs i'm referring to, venture farther than the last [in style, lyrics, music, & passion]. Anygoo, more on this particular song. The title "bLANk CanVAs" is a representation of our lives. I'm personally fighting * as a constant * to be so much more than i currently am. So i call my current state blank. In comparison to what i have in my future, my position in life is as a blank canvas awaiting a masterpiece. Then in the chorus, "Maybe if the planets aligned...", i'm artistically saying...'even if everything in our lives came into perfect alignment, the greedy human naturewould still crave more’... AN INTERESTING SIDE NOTE: This song was written as an accustic song. It was extremely softspoken and well mannered. We turned it on its belly & went really hard. Then, brought it back to the present middle ground it currently abides in.
