A bit of a creepy tale with an odd acoustic dirge behind it. Told from a child's perspective.

Acoustic side project focused on growth, exploration and annoying the shit out of people.
Inspiration can hit at the strangest times. Lately I've been inspired by some pretty offbeat memories, experiences, readings and ideas. My hope is that I can blend them with the words in my heart and stake my claim of originality. That being said, this is overflow parking. Here, have a seat.

Story behind the song
I really don't remember writing the music to this one...it just seemed to flow out of me after I wrote the lyrics. The words are modelled off two experiences from my childhood, blending the two together to create a much more compelling story. Be careful what you shoot, kill and eat in the forests at night, for whatever it is may return to retrieve it's estranged body part.
Lyrics
Tell Me What You See Your voice used to chase these things away But now it seems to call it, rising from the vomit Wishing it to stay All I needed was a friend Someone to confide in, something I could hide in From all the trouble here I can feel it calling hanging from a lamppost Looking in the window looking down at me Tell me you don’t see it lurking in the shadows Hanging on the bedpost waiting there for me You did your best to keep the evil ones away But they cannot be stopped; in a place they’ve made their mark They will always stay And in the corner of a wall Shadows always tracing carefully erasing You told me never fear I can feel it calling hanging from a lamppost Looking in the window looking down at me Tell me you don’t see it lurking in the shadows Hanging on the bedpost waiting there for me You told me not to eat it I put it in my stomach Knowing that it would come back for me All I swallowed was a tail Pointy, black and stale, but it doesn’t belong to me Daddy it’s an angel, don’t they talk to strangers? What a funny word; why don’t they talk to us? Daddy it’s a kitty-daddy it’s a creature What’s that funny noise? I can feel it calling hanging from a lamppost Looking in the window looking down at me Tell me you don’t see it lurking in the shadows Hanging on the bedpost waiting there for me Can you see it crawling; can you see it laughing? As it gets its tail back, tell me what you see…
