Harken back to the Medieval Ages for this tune. I brought in a few friends to provide some real horn parts as well as French Horns. You'll probably notice my 'Beatle influences' here too.

Music... My entire life, music has been the "driving force" in everything that I've done. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, played in bands all through high school, graduated with a degree in piano from college, and all the while learned as much as I could about the recording studio by working as a session musician and learning the art of recording. To me, music can be visualized by colors. Every sound that you hear has a particular color attached to it and likewise, so does every emotion. That's what I'm attempting to capture in my music. I want to take emotions that are a part of one's natural life and "paint" a picture into my musical landscapes. Before I write a song, I name it. That name is a "hint" as to what I was thinking of. Then the sounds that I used, the melody, the counter-melodies, rhythms, etc. are all part of the final scene. I hope you enjoy my attempts at capturing an emotion for a moment in time....

Story behind the song
I've enjoyed the medieval age style of music for years... Not to imply that this tune really bares any real resemblance to authentic Medieval Music, but I did endeavor to position a bit of a dance portion toward the end of the tune. I also made an effort to visualize how it would have progressed if the music would have "morphed" from its initial form up until the 21st century. As I’ve mentioned before, all of my tunes are based on the name of the songs. I take the song name and use that to develop a direction for the song. If you can “visualize” or relate the name to the sound even for a few seconds, then I feel that I’ve accomplished what I wanted to do. After that, the song is yours to take you where you want it to go. Thus, the title “Timeless Travels”. Now, back to the tune! I really like the addition of the real trumpets, French horns and yes, there is a tuba on this track also. To me, it really adds that medieval “touch”. If you noticed at the beginning of the tune, I added a part that could be reminiscent of the introduction of perhaps royalty at a banquet or a party… It was lots of fun to play. Sincere thanks to my two musician friends with "Crossroad Consort", (a real medieval group) for their exceptional talents on Trumpet, French Horns and Tuba. And a geniune "tip of the hat" for their enthusiasm to supply the time, interpret my hand written sheet music, and actually formulate sense out of it!
