This song puts you in the middle of the Rain Forest with a 5/4 rhythm, and a bit of syncopated counterpoint music intertwined:-) The opening flute and closing flute are actual South American bamboo flutes!

Music... My entire life, music has been the "driving force" in everything that I've done. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, played in bands all through high school, graduated with a degree in piano from college, and all the while learned as much as I could about the recording studio by working as a session musician and learning the art of recording. To me, music can be visualized by colors. Every sound that you hear has a particular color attached to it and likewise, so does every emotion. That's what I'm attempting to capture in my music. I want to take emotions that are a part of one's natural life and "paint" a picture into my musical landscapes. Before I write a song, I name it. That name is a "hint" as to what I was thinking of. Then the sounds that I used, the melody, the counter-melodies, rhythms, etc. are all part of the final scene. I hope you enjoy my attempts at capturing an emotion for a moment in time....

Story behind the song
I had seen a PBS special on the Rainforest and I was struck by how vibrant and alive it was. I also notice that everything seems to depend upon something else as part of the "life chain". That's why if you listen to my song, you'll notice at one point, there is an almost complete dropout of all instruments except for one very unwavering sequence. I used this to demonstrate how important it is that we're all aware that we must understand that we can't reduce things don't to the lowest common demoninator, because they're not always able to build theirselves back up....
