Larry Lauer
I've been dabbling in songwriting for about 25 years, ever since I started playing in a band. In the past few years I've gotten a little more serious about it and I enjoy the the idea of creating something from my experiences. Whether personal or from an external source, I like to see my thoughts go from paper to a recorded product. I've been having a lot of fun trying to produce my own music. I'm not into performing my own music so much anymore, but I would like to see it get out there for others to hear.

Lyrics
I Can’t Fly (Larry Lauer/Patricia Baker) Verse1 I’ll never be ten feet tall Can’t climb skyscraper walls I don’t have a mask or tights But I make love to her all night Verse2 Don’t need to wear a magic cape I’ll rescue her with my duct tape I’ll never own a Batmobile I’m on a roll with eighteen wheels That’s the best I can do Chorus I can’t hold her like Spiderman can Sure makes me want to try To pick her up like Superman Her love lifts me so high I wear her ring, stand by her side I’m just an average guy… And I can’t fly… Verse3 I’ll never own a laser gun Wouldn’t know what to do with one She makes me be the best I can Blue collar hero kinda man Verse4 I can’t transform into the Hulk I drive an old Ford pickup truck She’s not a damsel in distress I’ll watch her back in that black dress That’s the best I can do Repeat Chorus Bridge: Maybe, my love can be her claim to fame, The way that Superman was to Lois Lane. Repeat verse 1 & 2 Repeat chorus Larry Lauer/Patricia Baker©2004
