Story behind the song
Written in 1991, this song served as kind of a "self-therepy" to help me through some really tough stuff that was going on in my life at the time. The idea of getting to heaven was a whole lot more appealing to me than staying around here. No matter how good or bad your life on earth will get, its good to know that there's something greater waiting just around the corner for you.

Every time I feel down and lonely and things aren't going my way, I wonder if life's worth living at all. I look at my situation and it seems like there's no way out. Then I have to look to the maker of it all. You know that life can be pretty rough sometimes but with him there, everything can be fine. I know that... Chorus: Life on earth won't last forever, but life in heaven will. Life as we know it will soon pass away I can't wait until that great day. The problems that develop can really pull me down and I find it hard to get a second wind. But when my life here is over  and my work on this earth is done, then a life of joy never ending will begin.
