Break From Society combines the sweet Jamaican beats of the roots era and Dub mixed with modern day sounds of hip hop and punk rock. Their first LP release, 4-20, was influenced by the small border town of Calexico and the different musical styles they combine to create the BFS style that is influenced by artists like Bob Marley, The Cool Ruler, Sublime, LBDAS, Half Pint, the Doors, and Snoop Dog. Grown out of Southern California, Break From Society has been together since 2000 and since then have grown to become a headlining act that has performed in major reggae festivals and house parties along California and throughout Baja Mexico. Break From Society has played alongside with legendary reggae bands such as Eek-A-Mouse, Don Carlos, The Revelations, Fidel Nadal and many house names like Badfish Crew, Organix, Free Energy, and Epicure. This Crew of reggae inspired musicians is sure to spread beach reggae vibrations wherever they play and turn any event into an Irie party to remember. Along with The Break From Society band is a large entourage of friends, roadies, and alcoholics who together form The BFS Crew. Whether playing in a large club or drinking and jamming in the garage, Break From Society and The BFS Crew are sure to make a night filled with reggae music, alcoholism, and Irieness!! Break From Society is currently jamming their positive vibes all over Cali, so make sure to check out their sweet Jamaican sounds next time they hit your town. One LOVe!!!!!!!pEaCe & UnItY!!!!

Lyrics
I don’t wake up in time to see the morning sun rise What can I say to describe my pain I don’t remember what I did yesterday But I know that I’m the one to blame For all these troubles that never change So lets back up a bit, let me tell you how it is I said I don’t pack no gat and don’t cry for my sins But when the bass drops it makes me feel so low Rub-a-dub, rub-a-dub is all I play in my car stereo So right about the time that I first got down There was no turning around I picked up a guitar while chilling feeling irie While words from the car speakers shouting jah rastafari With homies all around, amps effects on the ground And respect for that Rasta sound Love for the music that I’ve found So when you drop on the mic You better have mad skills This ragamuffin never packs no bills I’ll be wasting all my cash on green and cold brew It never was right without the whole crew You know it’s not too bad, everyone won’t understand Take your time slow, and realize I’ve got more love to give music and love that’s straight from my soul Stop your worrying and, continue on your way So if your down with the sounds of punk rock You better get down with the sounds of Hip-Hop And if you’re down with the sounds of Hip-Hop You better get down with the sounds of the One Drop And get down, I’m the one that you loving and hate too Tell me yeah, tell me what your posse is gonna do Cause this is for you and all your punk ass crew But when I spit these rhymes in a ragamuffin Irie flow I’ll be running and a tumble if you wanna bust two shots I said just stop with your problems and race So If your gonna go then better go big I know But if you’re running and a tumble if you wanna bust two shots I said just stop with your problems and race You know it’s not too bad, everyone won’t understand Take your time slow, and realize I’ve got more love to give music and love that’s straight from my soul Stop your worrying and, continue on your way I said no time for stress, so you best not complain There ain’t much more to say
