I play solo acoustic gigs, duos, and full band gigs with some of the best blues musicians in the Chicago area, including vets of top name blues legends' bands. I'm the editor of Guitar.com, and an author of music instructional books for music publisher Hal Leonard. I recently launched a site for blues instructional products, . In days past I was an editor at Fender Frontline magazine, and also ran vintage instrument site Gbase.com.

Story behind the song
I came up with the chorus line and wanted to write the song around it for a couple years, but didn't get around to it. I had a book project called 101 Recording Tips I was working on and needed an original song, so I decided to finish "Satisfied." It came out quite different than my original intention, which was a more traditional jump blues. I wanted the song to be very uptempo, but didn't intend for it to come out as heavy or funky as it did. I'm happy with the outcome though. Let the song go where it wants to go, and on to the next one. Players: Adam St. James, all guitars, lead, and background vocals. Patrick Doody, drums. John Falstrom, bass. David Mathis, keys. Deb Seitz, background vocals.
