Story behind the song
'Slip Away' is about making the most of your life. The chorus says "Be somebody", don't just exist. We all have so many chances to make something of ourselves, but we don't always see them, and we rarely take them. Just being alive is a good enough reason to make the effort to follow your dreams and "Be somebody."
