I live in East Texas where I own a recording studio and operate a small independent record label. I produce and engineer all styles of music from Country to R&B to Rap. I write songs in several styles also, mainly Country, R&B, Gospel, and my own style of Rock. I believe that all genres of music have something worthwhile and relevant to add to our lives, and that there is no such thing as a good or bad style - only good and bad songs. I play guitar, sax, keys, and harmonica, and I am by no means a virtuoso on any of them. I play decent enough to get it right eventually, but when I have the choice I prefer to let someone else do in an hour what would take me 3 hours to get it good enough to go on an album. My real talents are songwriting, producing, and engineering. they are also my passion. I also do freelance acoustical consulting for individuals building their own studios, schools, nightclubs, businesses, and churches who need help with their sound issues.

Story behind the song
This is a quick vocals only take that I laid down so that some of my fellow crtiquers could follow the meter.
Lyrics
Country with a serious feel to it, similar to the feeling you get when you hear George Strait's song "If I Know Me". This is pretty unconventional, and I haven't decided if it should be a duet or not, but leaning toward not. Still in the works. Honey- Do's As I walked out the door today, I was on my way To leavin' you. Stepped back in to find my keys, That's when you gave me A list of honey-do's. I walked back out without a word, With my mind set on leavin'. I knew there'd be some hurt, But, girl I had my reasons. Then I glanced down at that paper, And my hands started tremblin'. And right then and there, I changed all my plans. It said... CHORUS: "Honey, take out the trash please. Honey do you still love me? Honey can you come straight home From work tonight? Honey, the dog needs feedin', The flower bed needs weedin'. Honey, what happened to that light That once shined in your eyes? The house needs paintin', The fence needs fixin'. Honey, I miss your hugs and kisses. The yard needs mowin', Honey, please don't go, 'Cause, Honey, I'll die without you" - Your list of honey-do's. Vs2: As I read through those tear-blurred words, It suddenly occurred to me I've been such a fool. Knowing you for all this time, And all the while remaining blind To things I didn't do. So I brought these flowers here, And I'm apologizin'. They don't make up for the years That you've spent agonizin'. But girl, if you'll still have me, I'm gonna do some compromisin' - And start workin' through Your list of honey-do's. CHORUS: "Honey, take out the trash please. (I will.) Honey do you still love me? (Girl, still.) Honey can you come straight home From work tonight? (You bet I will.) Honey, the dog needs feedin', (Yes, Babe.) The flower bed needs weedin'. (Sure thang.) Honey, what happened to that light That once shined in your eyes? (It still shines.) I'll paint the house, And I'll mend those fences. Cover you with my hugs and kisses. Whatever you want, 'Cause Honey you know That, Honey, I'll die without you - And all your honey-do's. The parts in parentheses fit well with the music and flow. The "want" in the line "Whatever you want" is pronounced "wont" for the rhyme with "know".
