Story behind the song
This song is an Allegory of the GMA Estes Park Experience....... It just seemed so strange that all that wonderful music was kept bottled up inside that small little building while the mountain outside was pitch dark and you could not even see it....... I stayed up all night writing this song so I could see the sunrise in the morning....
Lyrics
Verse One: When darkness fell on the mountain Beauty was hid from the eye But a city was born in the foothills Filled with light and life Chorus: In the morning the sun will rise The view will come alive The rocks will cry out with songs of joy and the morning sun will rise The mountain will come to life In the morning Verse Two: Such power and light at our fingertips Yet that city was locked down tight Through the night the mountain stood silent But darkness will soon be burned from our eyes Repeat Chorus Bridge: In the morning I faintly hear the singing Fear keeping joy locked inside As the rocks are sleeping in darkness And the city kept the light of its life hid inside Last Chorus: In the morning the sun will rise The view will come alive And the rocks will cry out with songs of joy And the morning sun will rise The mountain will come to life In the morning In the morning In the morning
