A refreshing blend of soul,r+b,smooth jazz, pop, and latin influences.
After many years of playing with and for others, I decided to embark on my first solo effort. I spent 2003 and half of 2004 with Remedy, a Hollywood R+B, soul band, and decided to concentrate on recording instead of live performance. I am currently collaborating with Willie Hines of Stockton for a studio project this fall. Willie is a far better vocalist than I am, and I look forward to working in that setting with him. I consider myself more a musician than a singer. But that's never stopped me!!

Story behind the song
My wife was away on business in Virginia, she'd been asking me for 10 years to write her a song. Whenever she'd call she'd ask what I had been up to. I'd tell her I'd been playing music. She would ask if I wrote her song yet and I'd say no, I've just been playing the songs I remembered from my youth. She kept asking, I just kept playing the same old stuff, until I killed two birds with one stone and wrote her song about playing the old songs.
Lyrics
You drove off, Friday morning For a place you've never been. Kissed me once more, then you turned away It ain't been the same again. And I play the old songs, that I remember From a time thats long gone by. I play them softly, and sing them to you And try to find some peace inside. You spoke of, changing feelings I guess I felt this coming on. If you could only, find out by leaving I guess you probably should have gone And I play the old songs, that I remember From a time that's long gone by And I play them softly, and sing them too you And try to find some peace inside. Solo You've always wanted, a gentle love song One to call your own So I'll play it softly, and sing it to you When I'm all alone.
