Lyrics
[Intro - spoken word over somber piano] Yeah... this one's for everyone we lost To something they never saw coming Rest in power [Verse 1 - MC 1] I still got your last text saved in my phone Said you'd hit me back, now I'm sitting here alone We were supposed to grow old, talk about the days Now I'm at your grave trying to find the words to say They told me it was fentanyl, I couldn't believe You were just here last week, now I can barely breathe All the memories flooding back, got me feeling weak Your mama called me crying, man, I couldn't even speak [Hook - All members] We lost another one, another soul gone Poison in the pills, didn't know what was going on If you're out there struggling, please don't face it alone 'Cause we can't bring you back once you're gone, once you're gone [Verse 2 - MC 2] Started with the pain, doctor cut you off too quick Then the streets provided but that medicine was mixed You were just trying to survive, trying to feel right Never knew that one time would be your last night I'm angry at the system, angry at the game Angry at myself for not seeing all the pain We talked about our dreams under summer stars Now I'm pouring out liquor, writing songs in bars [Hook - All members] We lost another one, another soul gone Poison in the pills, didn't know what was going on If you're out there struggling, please don't face it alone 'Cause we can't bring you back once you're gone, once you're gone [Verse 3 - MC 3] Your little brother asked me when you coming home How do I explain that angel's fully grown? This epidemic's real, it's taking all our friends One pill, one moment, that's how it all ends But your story matters, your life had worth We'll keep your name alive for what it's worth To anyone who's hurting, there's another way Please reach out for help, please stay another day [Bridge - All members, melodic] We're not letting go of your memory Your laugh, your smile, your legacy But if we can save just one more life Maybe your story cuts through like a knife [Final Hook - All members with ad-libs] We lost another one, another soul gone Poison in the pills, didn't know what was going on If you're out there struggling, please don't face it alone 'Cause we can't bring you back once you're gone, once you're gone [Outro - spoken] If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, Please call the SAMHSA National Helpline: 1-800-662-4357 It's free, confidential, 24/7 You matter. Your life matters. Rest in peace to all we've lost
