Lord B comes back and hits the big time. A long waited return made of enthusiasm and beauty.
One of the most prolific Italian musicians comes back with his impressive repertoire, featuring the best Jazz and Rock artists of the Italian and British XXI century's scene. Each song is an amazing journey through a coloured world made of notes, chords and feelings. Pure joy. You don't need anything else anymore.
Story behind the song
An exceptional Jazz Rock ensemble joins forces with Lord B to revive, after twenty years, a piece of sheer madness harmonically intricate yet effortlessly flowing whose lyrics begin with overtly Lennon-esque quotations before brushing against Lewis Carroll, the Rolling Stones, Herbie Hancock, The Animals and a myriad of other cryptic, magical fragments drawn from the rich tapestry of English and American literature. All of this without ever forsaking the beauty of the harmonies to which Lord B has long accustomed us and to which he's now delightfully reacquainting us.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is genius.
Lyrics
I am here as you are me, but we are not together
this is not a song of mine, it's just a state of mind
You're the eggman, you're the walrus, well I am the seal
she's the beggar: where's the banquet, do you gently sweep?
Edgar Allan just can't face it, it's a state of mind
carpenters can do me no harm, 'cause I am the seal
I am sailing through your heart, I'm old enough to know
watermelon men inside, seeing how they run
expert texpert sucking mockers, Lucy's still around
mister Carroll loves it all, waiting for the next
Sitting in an english garden waiting for the house of the rising sun
quitting our british council hoping that our love'll always be the best
always be the best, always be the best
You're the eggman, you're the walrus, well I am the seal
See how they run, see how they run
I am railing through your fart, I'm old enough to grow
father figures on the shore, seeing how they snied
expert texpert mocking suckers, Lucy's in the sky
mister Lennon loves it now, waiting for the seal
Sitting in an english garden waiting for the house of the rising sun
quitting our british council hoping that our love'll always be the best
the best
I am here as you are me, and we are not together
This is not a song of mind, it's just a state of mine
You're the eggman, you're the walrus, well I am the seal
Well I am the seal
