Point the finger, yeah pass the blame
For all those problems and the pain
The things in life that take a toll
Are often things that we control
Accountability
I think inside of me
Reflecting on choices I made, I made willing
Like where I live and where I work and choosing to have a kid
Biting nails, scratching bites and drying out my skin
Drinking and running and all that comes with that
I’m sure there’s other things I’m looking past
Yeah I said, that’s on you
Owning up to what we do
A concept harder than it sounds
This commentary not so profound
An observation of human kind
The tricks we play inside our mind
Avoidance of the brutal truth, the simple fact that that’s on you!
Insecurity
Throughout society
A need to deflect and protect your fragility
Can you still not see?
Admission is the key
Put down the walls, drop the act and
Try some blunt honesty, no but seriously
That’s on you!
