Christ centered songs written by Dan Simmons...the best Gospel and inspirational A.I. music on the internet!
"firesong" is the songwriting ministry of Dan Simmons Thanks for stopping by. It's my desire to faithfully share that which has been given to me. This website will be a sampling of recordings that I, along with family and friends, have done over past 45 years. There are over 600 original unpublished songs presented in demo form on this site. Special thanks go to my partners in music, my daughter Amber, son Ian and the guys of Single Heart (Gene, Bob, Chris, Marty and Tata) who joined me to sing praises to the Lord down through the years. I also wish to thank those co-writers and artists that have joined with me in developing new music the passed few years to share on this website. I'm now featuring AI (Artificial Intelligence) groups that I've developed to sing some of the songs. I hope it's evident to everyone... that though the melodies and harmonies, styles and singers may change... JESUS has always been and will always be...the Song! ...this music is one simple expression of a very thankful heart. (Dan is a retired firefighter and ordained minister)

Story behind the song
Crossfire covers a Single Heart classic about following the Holy Spirit
Lyrics
I hear the call of the wind Calling me out from within Searching my soul Making me whole Lifting me out of my sin Just like a reed in the wind I hear it calling my name Breaking the shackles and chains And taking wing I can fly Through an endless peaceful sky Where I can rise on the breeze once again Just like a reed in the wind [Instrumental] I can fly to the heavens Breaking free to follow the Son And I'll cry I'm forgiven Not my will but thy will be done So wherever the wind wants to blow That's where my heart wants to go I'm learning to soar where I've never been before Where only God's will will cause me to bend Just like a reed in the wind Just like a reed in the wind Just like a reed in the wind
