We are OMNITROCY, a death metal band from Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Omnitrocy is a brutal/tech death metal band, founded in the summer of 2019, in Cluj-Napoca, by its original members, namely George (drums), Vladimir (guitar), Silviu (bass) and Ionuț (vocals). Silviu (bass) left the band in 2024, being replaced by Rares, in 2025. At the core of its musical concept lies the propensity towards introspection and dissection of the human psyche with the tools offered by the artistic field, but also the passion for extreme metal. Their sources of inspiration are concepts from the spheres of philosophy and psychology, such as specious present, Ego Depletion, God of the Gaps as a source of knowledge out of ignorance and solipsism as the only real instance of human psychological existence and so on.

Story behind the song
God of the Gaps is a dark critique of blind faith and humanitys tendency to fill the unknown with comforting illusions. The god in this song is not a savior but a parasite, an idol born from ignorance, feeding on unanswered questions and the surrender of thought. From the opening commandI am the god of the gaps, / Bring your ignorance to my hunger! The figure presents itself as both powerful and hollow. The mind is reduced to a sacrifice. Level your mind, put it on a plate! a stark image of how blind devotion consumes reason. The refrain I am your God; I am your Gaps, / The Father, the Almighty Intelligence / Of those who have none! mocks the idea of divine authority, framing it as nothing more than emptiness elevated to worship. What follows is a portrait of false comfort: The abyss of my delusions is all too caring, / Feel the cold warmth of my breath, / The silence of my love... love that is silent, a promise that is void. Prayers, stripped of meaning, are reduced to empty shells. The paradox of this god is captured in the haunting refrain: I am here for you and I am not, am I? A presence that is nothing more than belief, a deity that disappears when examined. By the end, the figure collapses into contradiction: I am your God / And I am not your God / The gaps are filled with your empty prayers. It reveals itself as an illusion, an invention sustained only by fear, ignorance, and the human need for answers.
