Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This is an 'alternative mix', I've used my Rickenbacker 4003 bass this time. 'Back in the day', Kenny, our brilliant bass player always played a Rickenbacker bass. His signature deep and clanky sound was an integral part of our 'sound'. So, I hope that I've captured that on this mix.
Lyrics
Waiting For A sign Of Life ( A Strange Situation) It's a strange situation, born out of frustration. but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... The train pulls in the station, a different situation, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life I've made my preparations, to reach my destination, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... The train leaves the station, shattered expectations, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... I walk out of the station, with a look of desperation, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... I don't need this sadness, it could lead to madness, but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... short guitar break but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... It's a strange situation, born out of frustration. but I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life ... yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... yes I'm waiting, yes I'm waiting for a sign of life... fade out chorused guitar

Very cool David, excellently performed as usual. Definitely a catchy song as Rodz says. Vocals and guitars hit the spot! Top marks!

Great song David, very catchy, the perfect pop/rock song. I can imagine this being a big radio hit. I listened to both mixes & I thought they both sounded excellent, I'd be happy with either, so I guess it's just down to personal preference.

Great Brit pop style track ! Perfect writing for the early 80s and sounds great now . Great guitar as per and vocals suit it perfectly. The bass is more dominant in this mix ( I listened to both ) and sounds very punchy . Like it !
