Story behind the song
This is the first version of this song that my friend, Eric Beauchemin, wrote the music for back in 1994. We practiced this song and recorded it in about three takes, and after we gave up I spliced it all together to make the song's first demo copy. Two years later in 1996 Eric played it live in it's entirety, than in 2003, me and Doodle recorded it again to be released on "Journey By Rail".

1st Verse: Here I lie awake tonight, all alone I think of you, thoughts of you run through my mind of when our love was true. All I have is the memories and the pain that's here to stay. If you could only hear my mind, then you would hear me say... Chorus: Now I'm alone, on my own, I'm living in this Hell, so afraid to move on, I can't believe you're gone. Is it true, I lost you, is this really the end of what we had, I need to know, will we ever love again? Will we ever love again? 2nd Verse: I look into the nighttime sky, all I see is a shining star, as the light fills up my eyes, I wonder where you are. I dwell on the love we had, it hurts more, hurts more everyday.
