Story behind the song
The lyrics to this song were written by Troy Donoughue in 1994 about a current girlfriend at the time. Eric wrote the music on his guitar, and after this recording was completed, they would perform it live a few months later at a Halloween party for Troy's girlfriend. Troy sang the lead vocals while Eric and Doodle provided the back up vocals. This would be the first and only original song collaborated between these three friends, so they called it an official "T.E.D." song (for Troy, Eric, Doodle). This would later be changed to an official "The Steel Scream Project" song to be released on one of Troy's albums.

It's hard not to imagine, you and I together as one, holding each other knowing our dreams have just begun. *(Chorus) For it's you that I want by my side, yes it's true I need you in my life. (2nd Verse) I think about all the nights that you've been on my mind, waiting patiently for you to say that you'll be mine.
