"You know one of the dirty little secrets of Physics, now I'm gonna share a secret with you. Is that the two pillars of this field of study the theories of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics they don’t get on we . . eh . . they don't get along too well. They sorta contradict each other, they fight, you can't really unite them. For years physicists, including Einstein, have searched for a theory that would bring these two ideas together a so-called unifying theory that would explain all the forces, all the particles of the universe and so far the best candidate for the job is something called super string theory. It says that the smallest components in the universe aren't those protons and quarks that you slaved over in Physics class, no but one-dimensional teeny tiny little strings. That are about a hundred billion billion , I got enough billions ? . . yeah I think . . times smaller than the atoms in a nucleus. While super string theory is a physicist’s best guess, the best guess at a unifying theory, it is not without its detractors."
