Wondering, waiting, wishing
This weighs on me
I sleep the night long
Thinking of the songs I sing
This isn’t where I want to be, clearly
I know you think I’m wrong
The hours and the days I bring

This building tension is strong
Right now I have nothing
I’m one step away from where I want to be
You don’t care what I put into this song
It all doesn’t mean a thing
I’ll show you the things I’ve done
I have no choice
There is a risk I must take
I feel much pressure and under the gun
Your support will never voice
And this smile I can only so long fake
This mindset hasn’t just begun
A daily grind of unfound rejoice
It’s a decision I must make

To know I did this for my own sake
