August 19th,2005- So, not a whole lot to say here. Well what i have to say is big pertaining to the band, we've had a name change. From Grey Matter was too close to another band from Cambridge, Dark Matter, so the name has been changeed to A Taste Of Atrocity. Im starting a page on soundclick no, just so i can do the updates there instead of here. SO this'll be the last message on this site, until about a month before i take it down. Story behind the song
This song is written about a really good friend of mine, Chris Hale. We call him the Mighty Hale and it's not without cause. He lives life to damn near it's fullest and he is usually really upbeat and fun to be around. He is so free of all the chains that society can bind to people that he's just an inspiring kind of person. So i wrote this song as a tribute to him, it worked at least we think it did. This version has me singing three vocal parts, it was a big experiment on my part and instead of ending up being lead vocals and backs it was like three singers on the same track. Two guitty part on this one and it's played down, way down, in drop B.
