Story behind the song
Tomorrow is track 8 on the 2022 Infused album, Divine Sunset. It is a song about finding hope in the future when things in the present are hard. It was born out of the dreams of the 80s and promises of the 90s and asks, "Where is our Tomorrow?" Tomorrow features Shawn Huss on vocals, Dave Carles on bass and Rod Skelley on guitar. The video was created and produced by Bonnie Skelley. The song was composed by the guitarist, drummer and keyboardist, Rod Skelley in the 1990s and was heavily influenced by bands like the Police, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pink Floyd. It was written shortly after moving to Akron, OH and the difficulties of being so far away from home.
Lyrics
TOMORROW I'm farther away, from a brighter day But what can I say - we make decisions Did you ever feel, that feeling so real That's so hard to conceal - I guess it doesn't matter Will tomorrow ever shine Can tomorrow ever be more than just in my mind The meaning fades, the dreams go away A hollow shell remains - but after all there's no tomorrow We can deny, we can improvise Or compromise - but it's only a matter of time Will tomorrow ever shine Can tomorrow ever be more than just in my mind The light is dim, the air is thin The night is filled with sin - fantasy is escape That's all I can take, I'm about to break There's too much at stake - My life had just begun now it seems over. . . . . . Will tomorrow ever shine Can tomorrow ever be more than just in my mind
