A swinging, big-band-inspired shrug. Two lead guitars trade lines like a pair of sharp tongues. Theres defiance here, and it wears a crooked smile.

Shades of Blue: The idea behind this album Not all blues come in the same colour. Shades of Blue is a jazz guitar journey through the shifting moods of city life and inner weather, or from strutting confidence to subtle melancholy, late-night grooves, to morning-day shrugs. This is music with character: sometimes defiant, sometimes gentle, sometimes unsure but always moving. Whether its the sharp funk of Come and Get It or the reflective mist of Morning Drizzle, each track paints its own shade, telling stories without saying a word. Plug in, lean back, and let the tones tell their truth. I am incredibly pleased with this body of work. Enjoy my album

Story behind the song
Yeah right, this is an exploration into a sort of big band feel. It stared with the lead hook which was worked over a 12 bar blues theme.. The drums piano and keyboard were taken from an old track which I had never used. I recorded a more fitting bass line. The entire melody is double tracked. and each is panned slightly off centre left and right to create the two guitars feel. The solo over the middle 24 bars was a one off improv which worked so well It was retained. Extremely happy with this tune.
