to a bright blue sunny sky.
Sat outside, watched, and listened
to the songbirds dropping by.
Booted up my laptop,
squirrels ran around the yard.
A Headline cried out at me.
The morning lost its charm.

Honestly, lost the calmness
this morning brought to me.
Switched over to the radio
Didn't want to see or read.

are the children dying for?

in Texas, guns are fun.

of nineteen children, two adults.
The Governor wouldn't lift a finger
to what he knows is at fault.
That ass hole lifted restrictions,
then has nothing left to say.
Then with the gall spouts, "Freedom to all!"
while selling for the NRA.

known as the "Lone Star State."
Famous for its live music
and children's tragic fate.
Texas has mass shootings
happening through the years.
But hey, Texans have no gun laws,
so what is there to fear?

there's a shooting every day.
Handguns, rifles, and guns of war.
Question what they need those for?
Statistically, children pay
they've become the favorite prey.
Of messed up, fucked up loners,
who are easily gun owners.
