The Lord provides for the sparrow
rock nylonstring accoustic
Artist picture
Ive written hundreds of songs over the past 40 years. I love Jesus, the word of God, people and music. I play guitar, bass and sing. Thank you for listening!
My music is about the new life found in Jesus Christ. He is our access to the Father and is worthy of all praise and glory. He has taken our sins away by the selfless sacrifice of His death upon the cross. He is deserving of songs and worship. The sound of my music is influenced by the delta blues and artists that have followed through the 60s and 70s who have taken this music and written folk, Americana, and Rock n Roll. Thank you for listening to my songs, and also the collaboration projects, thank you to all who contributed to these songs..

Story behind the song
The Bible tells us not to worry about tomorrow, today has enough to think about. The Lord will provide. The Lord takes care of the sparrow, so he will take care of you when you truly call on Him
Lyrics
The Sparrow Knows The sparrow knows the good things of the Lord She lifts her voice and sings praises unto Him For he supplies all her needs by wells of water Does she sing and give joy in song again Who can know the mind of God When thunder rolls and lightning strikes The wind does blow and the rain does come When the sparrow is in her nest and all is right Joy does comes in the morning As the sun does come and light the dew The clouds are parted the fields are green In this day we will sing and give praises into you For our God reigns in the heaven above Our God reigns yes in the earth Oh our God reigns there is no other So I will lift my voice and sing Joy does come in the morning As the sun does come and dry the dew The clouds are parted the fields are green In this day we will sing and give praises unto you Words and music by John Matteson 2022 ASCAP
