This is a song I wrote about my mom as she was dying from dementia and strokes. I wrote this with all the love in me for her but when Cary Rutledge sings it, he takes it to another dimension of meaning

Story behind the song
When a person dies of dementia and strokes, they seem to die in inches and millimeters. The family has to continue to say goodbye to them. This song is dedicated to my mother, who took this difficult journey from health to dementia to glory. When I listen to this song, I praise God for my beautiful friend - my mother.
Lyrics
All Things New Deb Rempel 2012 Verse One Though your flesh is failing, Though your strength grows weak, You never fail to face it all In ways that brings God glory. Though your body turns on you A little more each day As all your world grows oh, so dark, You grow, you glow in faith. Chorus ("all things new" are echoes throughout the Chorus except at the end) You hold to this: All things new; Dear, precious friend All things new Death is not final. All things new Life does not end All things new (not on final chorus) Despite this darkness All things new Youre passing through All things new You know that God will make All things new. Verse Two Though your future looks so bleak And fears can leave you cold; Your kind heart and your gentle smile Warm all those you know. Though you dont know how youll walk Through another day As all your world grows oh, so dark, You grow, you glow in faith. Chorus Bridge Here in this place, Where roads just stop, Here in this place, Where hope is lost, Here, with your courage, You face the grave. Here, in this place, Where souls are saved: Chorus
