Story behind the song

The Blackbird you can hear was recorded on my Sony Xperia 10 phone a few years ago, but each morning whilst on a short vacation in Scotland in our motorhome we heard them singing loudly & then again each evening. The Blackbird song is as beautiful as the bird itself & we always get a few in the garden throughout the year.

One night whilst in Scotland my partner, Paul &  I, were eating out against a log fire at the edge of Loch Lomond when we both saw what looked like silver lights moving fast across the night sky. We never found out what they were though. They could have just been jet planes with the moon reflecting off them, they could have been shooting stars, or they could have been something else. Whatever they were there were at least 5 of them. It is extremely unusual for jet planes to fly so close together like these 'silver lights' were doing & especially at night. No one else witnessed them when we asked around the next morning. So, rather than make ourselves look stupid we didn't mention it again. Until now that is !
