Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Story behind the song
This is a 2021 re-edit / re-mix of a Big Sleep song. My friend Tony Webster wrote the lyrics and the melody. ( he's the other half of Big Sleep ). We originally recorded it way back in 2001 with Tony taking the lead vocals. In 2003, I re-rearranged it, re-recorded it and added the psychedelic instrumental sections. I sang the vocals on this, the final version. With the acquisition of more up to date recording and mixing equipment, I've now been able to 'boost it', for modern times. The 'Sun', in verse two, refers to the British tabloid newspaper...The Sun. At the time (2001), this newspaper always featured a topless female model on page three. These were less politically correct times that didn't perceive this as exploitation. just mere 'tittilation' !

I love the fusion of Brit Rock & Psychedelia in this track. It has a great vibe to it - a little trippy, strangely engaging (in a good way)...similar in feel to Paper Sun by Traffic. Excellent song, perfect for Summer radio play.
