💯 Katherine the Korg Wavestation rocks. I have the Korg Micro Key that came with legacy software aka 6 Korg synths that can be dialed up on the laptop. It's mainly for recording purposes. But the Wavestation is my #1 seed for sure. I loved how Tony Banks of Genesis used it on the We Can't Dance album, in particular the track Fading Lights. The lead sound he used I found and used in the intro to VKV1. It's like a modern day Watcher of The Skies type of thing.
As for the native instruments on Sonar , yeah I use Sonar as well and have no idea how to get them working. For drums I use either my Yamaha electronic kit or drum apps on my phone ( free ) Simple Drums Deluxe

Heyyy Katherine XO Thank you soooo much for all the amazing feedback. I moved to Charlottesville VA in the summer of 2021. Been juggling finding a good day job and sporadically working on new music and other projects like improving my guitar playing , jamming on You Tube, having fun learning songs on guitar that I've always wanted to but never got around when I was younger. Mostly Randy Rhoades and VH stuff.
But #1 for me is creating new music. I feel the next album project will have more positive vibes. My music is always a time capsule and definitely reflects the times I'm in. I'm hoping to get something new, at least a song or two out this year. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Your feedback adds fire to my inspiration.
So sorry it's been way too long since I chimed in on here. But you are most definitely my #1 fan on here.
Glad you love Passion Dome. I think those patches were the Wavestation again. And when I found the right chords and textures it's just dreamy as hell. That's definitely what I was going for. It's the flip side to my heavy rockin side 😎 I equally love nice dreamy textures. I think one direction I wanna go in is finding a way to write songs that bring both together in a nice concise way
