Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany
For songwriters who dont sing or perform it is extremely hard to make ones mark in the music business because they dont have a platform to present and promote their work. This is more or less the situation that I, Robert Baitinger, a songwriter from Germany, have been confronted with since I started writing songs in 1978. My idea is to complement my songwriting capabilities with the "helping hands" of excellent artists, musicians and innovative producers. In the age of the internet it has become easier to communicate and collaborate with musicians and producers all over the world. I am utilizing the internet and pursuing the idea of a conceptual studio band with a frequently changing lineup of artists. I call this project the "Rob B. Project" since I supply the melodies and/or lyrics of a song and other musicians/producers/songwriters contribute their talents and skills to make it come to life.

Lyrics
HOW WILL I KNOW Verse 1: Far away, beyond that line Where the sea and sky unify Where darkness conquers daylight And the stars slowly die Verse 2: Too dark to see, but I hear the sound Of waves not far away I know the ocean hides a hope that's here to stay I'll find my way Pre-chorus: Suddenly a flash from above Gives me hope I'll find love A lighthouse sends out a ray of light It lights my way through the night Chorus: How will I know if it shows me how to sail Without the risk of sinking How will I know if it's the shortest way to stop Our love from shrinking Verse 3: Hold this course, the horizon is much closer Than you believe The light you see will keep you clear from all the reefs And I won't leave Repeat pre-chorus Repeat chorus Bridge: How will I know if it's deep enough With those sea waves high and rough There's a lot I risk to lose When there's only one to choose Repeat chorus
