Ever had that frustration where you come up with the perfect argument winner about five minutes AFTER the argument?
Well this is the frustration from every day life that boils to the surface in the form of one giant rant and you find the bastard child that is Little Nikita. The wanting to speak your mind, the refusal to take every thing at face value and the laugh in the face of intimidation is all that is required to find the vibe of this band.
The sick but fascinating double-life world of the assassin, linked with the name Nikita is a key topic for the band. The infectious power pop of “Voices” to the blood curdling, heavy, raucous “Scream”, this band is about extremes of the mind.
The apparent influences are nothing to sneer at, from great performers as Freddie Mercury and the music of his band Queen, being the only music played when the Rigarlsford brothers were growing up it would have been unnatural if they were not at the subconscious. Other bands from Fleetwood Mac to Nirvana, The Beach Boys to Green Day, Metallica to James Taylor, and The Beatles to The Beastie Boys. It’s safe to say the under current melody could be as beautiful as the whirlpool over current is stomping, furious and down right dirty.
With nationwide tours, major label hell, dog attacks and blood stained instruments behind them as well as the critically acclaimed single “Jester” the year has been one of the most frustrating but at the same time productive for these four shit kickers from East Anglia .
From the calm and optimistic to the damn right jaded and twisted. You’ll find common ground in this snake-infested backdrop called Earth.
Be assertive and be asserted!
