I realized that regardless of what happens in my life, the Lords plan for me would be far greater than anything I requested, so rather than being one of the nine lepers who don't come back, I want to be one who came back to say thank you Lord.
Story behind the song
I believe the genesis of this song came about after I attended a Life in the Spirit Seminar at church. I wanted to show a transformation of a person from having Parents and Godparents desiring baptism for their child to the young man striking out on his own journey for truth to finally finding rest with the Spirits gifts and the abundant love of Jesus shared through partaking in His Holy Wine (Blood). All our journeys should be so fruitful.
My wife commented somewhere along the way that this song sounds like it is about my personal journey and when she said that, I have to admit there is probably some truth in that even though I wasnt focused on that view while writing.
