I have been playing music since the age of 8. I play all the instruments on my recordings, I am a lot more concerned with sharing my music than with making money from it. I have a bedroom studio, I will leave it up to you if that's working out

Story behind the song
in my hometown of Ashland Ky the road leading from Ashland used to run on a cliff overlooking the industry along the Ohio River. This is based not on actual characters, but as time has gone by I can see a lot of it did have roots in my teenage years
Lyrics
all those nights we'd sit on the hood of my father's car, up on Ashland Road we'd spend hours looking down at the lights below and we thought those nights would never end, you know a few classes together, standing at the bus stop in bad weather and as summer turned into fall, I got up the nerve to give you a call wasn't too long, you couldn't keep us apart you gave me your hand and I gave you my heart and pushed you around in a shopping cart Summertime on your front porch swing, listening to the radio and when it became eleven o'clock, I didn't want to go and I knew in my heart someday we would walk down the aisle all these things we thought would come so easily but our perfect world met reality which led to our finality and when we broke up it broke me up inside I wasn't yet twenty but I felt I had already died and you had gone off to the university, I had to run I joined the Army and wound up in Germany what I wouldn't have given to once again see your face and to share a few words in our own special place For a long time thereafter, I'd still brave the cold and go sit on the hood of my car up on Ashland Road and look down at the lights below. Only this time, looking alone
