Story behind the song
Michael's original version was about turning 25 and being at a crossroads in his life, as his family circumstances had drastically changed. I hope he records it sometime and I can share a link to his version because that man can sing! Sweetest voice on the planet. My (somewhat different and rather inferior version) is about looming retirement and the unknown changes it will bring to my life! Written at Judy Stakee alumni songwriting retreat in Nashville, TN.
