Ever notice wars are mostly made by politicians?
singer songwriter brown karl
Singer/songwriter from Britain, I use my varying influences to try and create a new sound; Folk-Metal. I've been playing guitar for about three years, starting out playing The Shadows, but have added a lot to my setlist of covers, as well as having an ever growing number of original pieces.

Story behind the song
I was listening to The Home Service one day with the news on, and "Walk My Way" was playing as an item on the War on Iraq came on. I'd been studying WWI poetry and writings, so the first verse wrote itself. The second verse was written during an item on the Israel/Palestine conflict. I just liked the image of people marching, especially the dead, with politicians calling the shots and ending up in the same boat as everyone else
Lyrics
In the trenches sit the soldiers March of Death goes on and on Waiting silently for orders Shells and guns are quiet now Gas attacks and politicians Rule the only world they know No more thoughts of English fields No-mans land is their new home Onward Soldiers, March of Death The funeral goes on and on Friends and comrades, foes and enemies No more is distinction made No one questions what they’re fighting for In the fields so far away Politicians rule the slaughterhouse March of Death goes on and on Bomb civilians from so far away Flights of Death, steel birds fly Faceless victims faceless killing sprees Politicians far away March of Death with women and children Join the ranks of soldiers lost Sticks and stones against tanks and guns Walls built up knock people down Onward Soldiers, March of Death The funeral goes on and on Killing sprees launched so far away No more blood on soldiers hands Bombs they fly, people die Still no war is won Politicians re-elected March of Death goes on and on Countless lives lost to the slaughterhouse In the endless seas of war No one left dares to threaten us No one here is left at all Empty streets and empty houses Empty cities empty towns March of Death is numbered in billions Ghosts of politicians rot Onwards Soldiers, March of Death The funerals went on and on No-one cared to ask the questions Trapped and lied to all that time Faceless wars faceless enemies Political games and media lies No more wars and no more suffering March of Death goes on and on
