Story behind the song
This is a previously unreleased piece from the Seventeen Cent Croonie work. 17 Croonie Park Road is located on the former site of the roller-coaster at Croonie Park Amusements. A mansion owned by the mega-wealthy Ames family. This soap-opera-esque drama unfolds between rebellious son Exeter and his father Breckinfer Ames.
Lyrics
The Tabliest of Tabloids, Sudsiest of Soaps, Pander For Scandal, a whole lotta nope, Punch punch click, direct me to Seventeen Croonie Park Road Seventeen Croonie Park Road We return to the mayhem at Owleister Acres, A Friendly Gated Community for the Old and the True 1 There’s been an incident; reported shots Inside the poolhouse where things get hot. “I’m taking these Croonies; you’ll see how they shine,” “Exeter Ames! You crossed another line, That gold is staying here or you’re no son of mine.” 2 An ugly struggle next ensued, Crowd that gathered, a little crude. Seven hundred Skorchahz chanting ‘He is dead’; Reverend Ducky Drake keeps his anger in his head. Viewers be warned, there’s potential bloodshed, ? BRIDGE Number Seventeen has the best train wreck; Heading for oblivion, speed of breakneck. Steaming hot mess on the coldest of nights; Cameras in the sky bring it out into the light. 3 Robotic Ravens above the fray, Picture’s clear, it’s a lovely day Breckinfer Ames, what secrets do you hide? Melting down a Croonie, Owleison cried, Forget the facts when you take a side. 4 A little flashback if you tuned in late, Blue McMansion with a golden gate; Nouveau Greek Revival on a tragic hill Where that roller-coaster wrecked; those lovers nearly killed And we patiently await another thrill.
