This song was over 30 years in the making. A fellow who I used to take guitar lessons from(Allan Lemon) wrote the first verse & chord progression(on the verses). Before he passed away, my Dad wanted to write more lyrics to it because he liked the chord progression. Shortly before he passed away, my Sister(Ann Levin) wrote a second verse to it. A year or so later, she got together with Wil Maring & they wrote the last verse & the bridge.
